The new Thruxton is Euro 5/BS6-compliant. And you know what that means, right? It’s coming to India!
  • The 1200cc parallel-twin motor now pumps out 8PS more than the previous-gen model.
  • The 2020 Thruxton RS now gets fully adjustable Ohlins suspension at both ends.
  • It also gets a mild cosmetic makeover.
  • Triumph has taken the wraps off the 2020 Thruxton RS at the ongoing EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. The 2020 Thruxton RS is more of an evolutionary update rather than a revolutionary one. Just like the 2020 Bonneville Bobber TFC, the new Thruxton RS has received some tweaks here and there to keep it fresh for 2020.

The new Thruxton RS follows the same design philosophy as the older model. However, to make sure that you don’t get confused between the two, the 2020 model gets a new paint job and blacked-out parts. Apart from this, there isn’t much to report on the cosmetic front.

The 1200cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor now produces 105PS of power and 112Nm of torque, which is 8PS more than the older model. However, the main news is that this motor is now Euro 5/BS6-compliant, which means it will come to our shores as well! Apart from updating the engine, Triumph has updated the cycle parts as well! For instance, it now comes equipped with fully adjustable Ohlins suspension at both ends and stopping power comes from twin 310mm with Brembo M50 4-piston radial monobloc calipers at the front and single 220mm disc with a Nissin 2-piston floating caliper at the rear. And oh, it also gets dual-channel ABS as standard.

In terms of features, it gets three rider modes (Sport, Road and Rain), traction control, LED lights, an updated instrument cluster, and more! As of now, there’s no news from Triumph about its India launch, but we expect the new Thruxton RS to arrive by mid-2020.
