  • Italian two-wheeler manufacturer MV Agusta has unveiled the 2021 Brutale RR and Dragster 800 RR for the global market. Both models come with better features in line with current trends, improved electronics, and a Euro-5 compliant motor. MV has also thrown in a couple of new liveries to keep the bikes looking fresh.

The most notable change on the 2021 Brutale and Dragster is the new LED headlight which looks sharper than ever. A 5.5-inch full colour TFT console with smartphone connectivity finally makes it to the smaller Brutales. A dedicated app lets users access data such as the battery charge and fuel level along with personalised options for the engine, suspension, and electronics. The console also features turn-by-turn navigation.

Its power output hasn’t really changed. The 798cc three-cylinder engine still makes the same 140PS and 87Nm of peak torque. Although, according to the company, the internals of the engine and the exhaust have been revised to help it comply with Euro 5 emissions. It comes with DLC-coated tappets and valve guides, new fuel injectors, piston rod bearings, and countershaft bearings. Electronic suite sees a massive upgrade as well with a six-axis IMU, traction control, launch and wheelie control, cornering ABS, and cruise control (exclusive to the Brutale).

Other notable changes come in the form of a tweaked chassis that offers more rigidity and a retuned suspension setup. The Dragster now runs a broader 200/55 rear section tyre which should further improve its handling capabilities.

Both the 2021 MV Agusta Brutale and Dragster are likely to make it to India, however, the brand hasn’t shared any official launch plans as yet.
