The 2021 Triber to get both interior and exterior updates.
A new brown shade will replace the red, all the colour options to be available with dual-tone black.
New dual-tone options will be limited to the top-spec RXZ variant.
New features to include steering-mounted controls, height-adjustable driver’s seat, and LED turn indicators on the rearview mirrors outside.
Will continue to be powered by the same 72PS 1.0-litre petrol engine.
Expect a nominal price hike.
Renault has been gearing for the launch of the 2021 Triber with a few minor but much-needed updates. Now, some interesting details have leaked online, revealing a few likely additions. That said, there appears to be no change to the powertrains yet.
The updated Triber will get new dual-tone colour options, but they will be limited to only the top-spec RXZ. The leaked document reveals a fresh Cedar Brown, which will likely replace the now-discontinued red paint scheme. The sub-4m crossover MPV will also get LED turn indicators on the ORVMs and a dual-horn setup.
These aside, the new Triber will also get additional features like steering-mounted controls and a height-adjustable driver’s seat.
However, the mechanicals will see no change. The Triber will retain its existing 72PS/96Nm 1.0-litre petrol engine, paired with 5-speed manual and AMT transmission options.
While these details were obtained from a leak, Renault is yet to announce the official launch date for the 2021 Triber. What we do know is that it is likely to command a nominal premium over the existing model, which retails from Rs 5.20 lakh to Rs 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Currently, its price bracket pits it against the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo, Maruti WagonR, and the Datsun Go Plus.
