Is the Tripper navigation pod to be only offered as an accessory?

(Update: The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been launched in India. Head here to read the launch story.)

Royal Enfield’s tease with the 2021 Classic 350 doesn’t seem to cease. Now, a new set of spy shots have surfaced, revealing a few new important details. The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 is likely to be launched in August and is expected to carry a slight premium over the outgoing model.

The new spy shots reveal that the bike will be available in two variants-- Drum (single-channel ABS) and Disc (dual-channel ABS) -- just like the current model. Going with Royal Enfield’s tradition, the new bikes too shall come with several new colours, one of which is the British Green, complete with black and gold pinstripes. Another test bike that was recently spotted flaunted a glossy grey colour with minimal graphics.

The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 sees a substantial revision in rider and pillion comfort. Not only do the new seats seem plusher and and bigger, but RE seems to have gone with the floating rider seat design as well. Another interesting thing to note is the change in the braking setup. The front disc is now on the right side, just like the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.

A couple of months ago, a video of the 2021 Classic 350’s console was leaked, revealing the integrated Tripper navigation pod. However, the new shots show the pod blanked off with an RE logo. Royal Enfield may restrict the Tripper pod to its Make it Yours programme, or offer it with select variants, perhaps the premium versions.

The current Royal Enfield Classic 350 produces 19.3PS and 28Nm from its 346cc, fuel-injected UCE (Unit Construction Engine). With the new 349cc engine, we expect it to produce little over 20PS and around 27Nm like the Meteor. To know how the new engine feels, read our road test review.
