Royal Enfield will likely launch the popular roadster by the end of August
We could well be only a handful of days away from the launch of the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350, but the internet just can’t seem to have enough of the bike. A video of two variants of the popular roadster sans camouflage has surfaced on the internet.
There isn’t much left of the new Classic 350 to be revealed, really. However, the video shows a new set of alloy wheels for the rear disc variant, hinting that the bikemaker’s Make-it-Yours (MiY) initiative could offer multiple options.
The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 is the second motorcycle to use the new J Platform that debuted with the Meteor 350. So, the current model’s 346cc UCE engine will be replaced by the new counterbalanced 349cc unit from the Meteor. We expect performance figures to remain unchanged -- 20.4PS and 27Nm. However, the Classic should be lighter than the Meteor, and hence, should have better performance.
Currently, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is priced between Rs 1.79 lakh and Rs 2.06 lakh. Royal Enfield will launch the new model with a bunch of single-tone and dual-tone colour options, and we expect it to demand a premium of Rs 5000 - Rs 7000 over the existing model.
