2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan To Launch Soon

It’s just been a couple of days since we spoke about Royal Enfield updating the Himalayan with Tripper navigation, and weren't really expecting to get hold of another update this soon. But here we are. An early image of what looks like a studio shot for the company’s website has been leaked online. It not only gives us an overview of what’s to come but also suggests that the bike could be launched as early as this month.

We’ve already established that the 2021 Himalayan will feature RE’s Tripper navigation system along with several new paint schemes, and the leaked image is proof of that. But that’s not all: there’s a small change on the metal mount that holds the headlight assembly in place. It’s been redesigned and moved slightly forward so as to not foul with the knees of taller riders -- an issue some people faced with the current-gen model. Goes to show that Royal Enfield does listen to its customers.

Other notable changes include a dual-tone seat, a blacked-out heat shield on the exhaust end can and perhaps powder-coated spoked wheels as well. Expect a price hike of about Rs 5,000 to 8,000 considering all the updates. The current BS6 Himalayan retails at a starting price of Rs 1.91 lakh (ex-showroom).

Royal Enfield has several new launches planned this year, with a new model being launched every quarter. This includes the 2021 Classic 350, Hunter 350, updated 650cc twins and a 650cc cruiser. Here’s a list of RE’s upcoming motorcycles for this year.
