Triumph has announced the launch date for the 2021 Triumph Bonneville Speed Twin. It’s slated to be launched next week on 31st August. Dealer partners across India had already started accepting pre-bookings for the bike for a token amount of Rs 50,000.
As for the changes on the bike, it's not just restricted to cosmetic revisions. The 2021 Speed Twin also gets a new engine tune for better performance and better underpinnings. On the cosmetic front, the bike features anodised headlight mounts, new mudguard mounts, and a refreshed graphics scheme.
While it uses the same 1200cc parallel-twin engine, it's been retuned to put out 100PS at 7250rpm -- 3PS more than the EU4/BS4 model. Even though the 112Nm peak torque remains the same, it is spread more evenly and peaks at 4250rpm, 500rpm lower. This is possible due to lighter internals, high-compression pistons, revised ports and cam profiles, and a new intake system.

On the hardware side of things, you have a new 43mm Marzocchi USD fork, new lightweight 12-spoke alloy wheels, and grippy Metzeler Racetec RR tyres. Top-shelf Brembo M50 monobloc calipers are part of the equipment list as well. The rest of the bike remains unchanged.
Expect the 2021 Triumph Speed Twin to be priced around the sub-Rs 10 lakh price tag, making it Rs 40,000-Rs 45,000 more expensive than the outgoing model.
