The Honda Amaze just received a generational update and is priced from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 10.9 lakh (ex-showroom). The sub-compact sedan gets a whole new design and a lot many features now including segment-first ADAS. If you’re impressed with the new Amaze and are looking forward to bringing one home well you can do so January 2025 onwards by putting your name for one now.
If you wish to take a closer look, you can test drive the car at your nearest dealerships now and before you rush to do so, we’ve given a detailed overview of all the details you need to know beforehand:
The new Honda Amaze is on sale in three different variants: V, VX and ZX. You can choose from six different colour options: Obsidian Blue, Radiant Red, Platinum White, Golden Brown, Meteoroid Gray and Lunar Silver.
The new Honda Amaze now aligns more closely with its siblings, the City and Elevate, adopting several design cues from them. The front features an updated grille, now larger and reminiscent of the Elevate’s, flanked by LED dual-projector headlights with sleek, eyebrow-like LED DRLs. There are LED fog lamps that sit below.
The profile still looks boxy like before. The wheels are newly designed with 15-inch dual tone alloys, while the door handles get a chrome finish.
At the rear, the chunkier taillights take inspiration from the City but incorporate new LED lighting elements for a fresh look. You also find a shark-fin antenna and Honda’s signature i-VTEC badging on the tailgate.
Step inside, the cabin looks new and is reminiscent of the one found in the Elevate. The cabin is finished in a dual tone beige/black theme.
The feature set of the Amaze include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch semi-digital driver’s display with multi-information display, a wireless phone charger, push button start/stop, 6 speaker sound system, cruise control, powered ORVMs and connected car tech.
Safety wise it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, rear view camera with parking sensors, three point seat belts and reminders for all passengers, lane watch camera and first-in-segment ADAS.
The Amaze gets powered by the familiar 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine which produces 90 PS and 110 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 7-step CVT automatic transmission. The 5-speed manual offers a claimed mileage of 18.65 kmpl, while the CVT automatic delivers 19.46 kmpl.
The new Amaze renews its rivalry with the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor and Hyundai Aura.
