Maruti Suzuki Dzire pre-bookings are now open ahead of its November 11 launch.
Recent spy shots reveal a similar cabin layout as the Maruti Swift.
Notable updates inside the cabin include a 9-inch infotainment, sunroof and new cabin theme.
On the exterior it sports a large grille, sleeker LED headlights and Y-shaped LED tail lights.
Mechanically, it is likely to retain the 82 PS 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine from the Swift.
Maruti’s next big launch, the new-gen Dzire, is inching closer to its due date on November 11. The launch campaign is well underway and the carmaker has even started taking pre-orders for the sub-4m sedan, available both at Arena showrooms and online. And while Maruti hasn’t divulged much in terms of the details of its exterior and interior styling, or even its specifications, the spy shots are coming in hard and fast. The new Dzire has already been spotted undisguised, and its interior details have now emerged online.
So before you jump to reserve one, here’s a closer look at the Dzire’s cabin to explore what’s new and what familiar features have been retained:
So far, multiple spy shots have revealed the new Dzire’s exterior, showcasing a significant revision from the outgoing model and its sibling, the Swift hatchback. The 2024 Dzire has certainly established its own identity, moving away from its Swift-inspired styling. For a detailed look at its design updates, we’ve covered that in this story.
Focussing inside the cabin, the overall interior layout still bears some resemblance to the Swift, but the new Dzire introduces a lighter dual-tone black and beige theme. The dashboard sports a wood-like finish just below the infotainment system and front AC vents. Both front and rear passengers can make use of the armrests provided for added comfort.
The car shown here is likely one of the higher-spec variants, featuring a floating 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a conventional analogue instrument cluster behind the three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls.
In terms of other features, the Dzire will debut segment-first additions like an electric sunroof and a 360-degree camera, along with a wireless phone charger, cruise control and automatic climate control with rear AC vents. For safety, the new Dzire is likely to include six airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and rear parking sensors.
Under the hood, the 2024 Dzire is set to be powered by the new Swift-sourced Z-series 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine, delivering 82 PS and 112 Nm. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT, with a factory-fitted CNG option expected to follow soon after launch. The CNG powertrain will be available with a manual transmission only.
Pricing for the new Dzire is expected to start from around Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it against other entry-level sedans like the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor. More details will follow after its launch on November 11, so stay tuned for that!
