2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Prices To Be Announced On This Date

Maruti Suzuki has officially announced the launch of the next-gen Dzire sub-compact sedan, scheduled for November 11, 2024. Following the debut of the new Swift hatchback earlier this year, Maruti is set to introduce the updated Dzire with a completely overhauled design, heft of added features including a sunroof and will be powered by the Swift-sourced new 82 PS 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine. 

In terms of design, the Dzire will get tweaked styling elements, such as a new grille, redesigned bumpers, updated LED headlights and taillights, as well as new alloy wheel design. Maruti has ensured that with the introduction of the fourth-gen Dzire, its design elements will have commonality with the Swift to set the sedan apart. 

Inside the cabin it is expected to adopt the dashboard layout of the 2024 Swift hatchback, albeit with a black and beige colour scheme. Also, the Swift will don a segment-first sunroof, which will be an added advantage. 

Apart from that, it is expected to be equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charger, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, keyless entry with push-button start, steering-mounted audio controls and connected car tech.

The safety suite will likely include six airbags as standard across variants and a 360-degree camera besides other carried over features like ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and  rear parking sensors.

Under the hood, the new Dzire is expected to house the Swift’s new Z-series 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine, pushing out an output of 82 PS and 112 Nm. Transmission options will include a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT. A  factory-fitted CNG variant is expected to follow post-launch.

The upcoming Dzire will likely be priced at Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom) and will rival the likes of  Tata Tigor, Honda Amaze, and Hyundai Aura.
