From swappable batteries to segment-first features, here’s everything you need to know about the 2019 iFlow in 11 detailed images
22Kymco has officially entered the Indian market with three new products: the iFlow (Rs 90,000), Like 200 (Rs 1.30 lakh) and the X-Town 300i ABS (Rs 2.30 lakh, all on-road Delhi). Out of the three, the iFlow is the company’s all-electric offering and packs quite a few segment-first features. Let’s take a closer look at it.
The 22Kymco iFlow (previously called the 22Motors Flow) was first launched at the 2018 Auto Expo at Rs 74,740 (ex-showroom Delhi). But for some reason, the scooter never really made it to showrooms. Now, after almost 1.5 years, 22Motors has tied up with Kymco to relaunch the e-scooter with a whole host of updates.
This includes modern-day features like LED headlamps, LED tail lamps and turn indicators.

It also gets a digital instrument console with Bluetooth and cloud connectivity along with geofencing that allows you to access data and track your scooter's location via the official app.
Speaking of its convenience factor, the underseat storage space is big enough to fit two half-face helmets or a week’s worth of groceries.
The iFlow is the first e-scooter in India to come with Kymco’s IONEX battery technology, which utilizes two swappable batteries. Each of the removable batteries weighs just 5kg and can be fully charged in an hour. You can swap the empty battery with a fully charged one at the company’s charging stations, a great boon for those who commute long distances.
22Kymco claims that the e-scooter packs a range of around 160km with the aid of an additional portable battery and regenerative braking. However, the portable batteries are not offered with the scooter itself. Instead, owners are required to lease them separately for a monthly charge of Rs 500 per battery.
To overcome its biggest hurdle, 22Kymco is currently working on establishing its charging network nationwide. In its initial stages, the company will be targeting major cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
Powering the iFlow is a 2.1KW motor which delivers a claimed top speed of 60kmph. The scooter gets a Cruise and a Drag mode and a reverse assist mode as well. It is also the first electric scooter in the world to get hill assist feature.
Underpinnings here include telescopic forks at the front and rear twin shock absorbers, while braking hardware consists of a front and rear disc with CBS. The scooter gets 12-inch wheels with tubeless tyres.
Sale of the electric scooter will start from September. Competition for the 22Kymco iFlow comes from the Ather 450 and the Okinawa i-Praise.
