As enticing as the idea maybe of driving an open top roadster down the road on a cool day the wind can literally send chills down your spine. Read on to know how an Air Scarf works

Driving down an open road on a pleasant day with the top down in a convertible car may give you the wind in your hair experience but after a while the wind can make you feel a little chilly especially when you are cruising at highway speeds. Ofcourse, you can put the hood up at that time to feel warm but that kind of ruins the point really of buying a convertible car.

Mercedes came up with a technology called AIRSCARF to over come this problem. They integrated vents at the top of the passenger seats on their convertible cars. These vents can be used to blow warm air to the back of the neck of the person sitting on the seat. The warm air blowing at the back of your neck while driving an open top car will let you enjoy a nice drive on a cool day without having given you a cold by the end of the drive. The latest addition to this technology is that the vent can be adjusted to blow air at the neck of the passenger by adjusting the direction of the flow.
