All new Mahindra Reva EV on way to Europe

With the currently running REVAi in a number of European markets, Bangalore based electric vehicle manufacturer is planning on bringing a better performing lithium ion battery version of the electric vehicle to the European market.

Country’s only electric vehicle, the Mahindra Reva will be available in its Lithiium-ion battery version as REVA EV in the European automobile market this year. After the majority acquisition in REVA in 2010, the manufacturer is also expanding its outlets in the country as well. The Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicle (MREV) Bangalore facility will be up and running by end of this year.

MREV’s best selling vehicle in Europe, the G-Wiz , known as the REVAi is sold in a number of European market, primarily the UK with over 1000 units on the road. Chief of operations, MREV, R. Chandramouli, said, ‘We look forward to developing our relationships and distribution channels across Europe and are positive that we can fulfil demand for our forthcoming EVs’.

More details of the new REVA EV will be revealed later this year.
