After unveiling the RS660 Trofeo earlier this year, Aprilia has now made the bike available to all aspiring racers for an official price tag of EUR 14,700 (around Rs 13.06 lakh) excluding taxes. Bookings can be made on the Aprilia Racing Factory Works website.
For such a large sum of money, you get superior components with the Aprilia RS660 Trofeo. The 660cc engine has been tuned to extract a full 105PS (5PS more than the stock bike). Taming all the 105 ponies is the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) electronic suite. You also get a dedicated race-ready ECU, SC project full exhaust system, and sticky Pirelli Supercorsa SC1 tyres.
The RS660 Trofeo is sprung by an Andreani front fork and Ohlins monoshock. Even the Brembo brakes at both ends have been upgraded for better stopping power. Improving the power-to-weight ratio, Aprilia has managed to drop the overall weight of the bike by 16kg. The RS660 Trofeo tips the scale at 153kg courtesy of the race fairing and other lightweight components, such as aluminium clutch and alternator covers.
The race-ready bike is sure to garner a lot of attention in India considering the budding racing culture here. However, with a price tag of Rs 13.06 lakh, excluding duties, the RS660 Trofeo is quite an expensive motorcycle. For reference, Kawasaki India offers the latest Ninja ZX-10R for Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With that being said, the standard Aprilia RS660 is yet to make it to the Indian market.
