With online platforms being more of the norm in today’s day and age, Aston Martin has unveiled a new and improved online configurator. Alongside it, the carmaker has also decided to give its model lineup comprising the DB11, DBS, Vantage and the DBX SUV, MY2022 updates. The updates differ according to the model.
The biggest update comes in the DB11 in both coupe and convertible forms. Aston Martin has decided to give more oomph to the V8 model, with the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 now pushing 25PS more power at 535PS. That has resulted in its top speed being increased to 307kmph. Complementing that is new optional Sports Plus Seats to help handle that extra grunt.
There’s also been some name changes in these model updates, with the V12 DB11 losing the ‘AMR; nameplate, and the DBS no longer having the ‘Superleggera’ badge. Aston Martin claims this call has been taken to simplify the nomenclature of these models. Other changes include the DBS and Vantage getting new 21-inch wheel designs.

Coming to the DBX SUV, Aston Martin is offering a new swanky dual-tone 23-inch alloy wheel design, new Sports Plus seats and wireless charging. What’s more, the wireless charging system has been integrated into the Infotainment system, which means you can track your device’s charging status from the infotainment system itself rather than needing to use the device.
Rounding off the MY2022 updates for Aston Martin’s model lineup are three interior trim environments offered via its new online configurator. The ‘Inspire' trim features perforated semi-aniline leather, contrast stitching, and 38 interior color combinations to choose from. The ‘Accelerate' interior trims veers more towards a sporty theme with a bespoke combo of leather and Alcantara, 10 leather colors and four accent colors. The ‘Create' theme offers 10 interior color options in monotone and duotone combinations.
Back home, Aston Martin currently retails the DB11, the Vantage, and the DBX SUV. Its yet to be seen when these updates will also make their way to the India-spec models, but we think it won’t be long before they’re updated.
