Audi India have launched a new entry level A4 to encash on the high sales normally witnessed during the ongoing festive season. The new Audi A4 celebration edition will be available for a short period of time effective immediately.
Although there has been no official communication from Audi on the matter, we did manage to call the Audi dealer in South Mumbai to find out all there was about this new Celebration Edition A4. The new Celebration Edition A4 is available only in White with the 2.0 Litre turbocharged, diesel engine that makes 145PS and 320Nm of torque. The Celebration Edition A4 will be available only in front wheel drive, which means Audi has ditched the legendary Quattro system to cut back costs. The A4 Celebration Edition will come equipped with 16-inch wheels as compared to the larger 17-inch wheels and will loose the sunroof that is available on higher spec variants of the A4.
On the interior front, the Audi A4 Celebration Edition will loose the wooden trim on the dashboard in favor of a simpler black trim. The front passenger seat too will be manually adjustable as compared to the electrically adjustable seats found in higher variants. The Celebration Edition A4 also looses it’s reversing camera and all-round parking sensors for a simpler rear parking sensor with beep assist.
Compared to the next variant in the Audi A4 range, the Celebration Edition is a whopping Rs 6 Lakh cheaper making it an excellent value proposition for the first time luxury car buyer. The A4 Celebration Edition will also be an excellent value proposition for fleet operators and business buyers which is the exact segment Audi intends to target with this ‘cutprice’ offering.
