Audi TT Sportback concept to debut at Paris Motor Show

German luxury car maker Audi has appointed Niraj Srivastava as sales head for India, replacing Anil Reddi, who served in this position from December 2008 to December 2011. Earlier Srivastava was associated with Tata Motors as Head, Car Product Group and has over 20 years of experience across manufacturing, sales, marketing, product development in commercial and passenger vehicles.

A true exponent of innovation and technology for progress, Audi redefines the phrase customer delight,” said Srivastava. “Taking over the role of Sales Head for Audi India presents and exciting challenge and I look forward to bringing my experience to the table to ensure that we meet our targets and develop the market further.”
In terms of sales, the company has been growing at a steady pace selling 450 cars in May 2012 over 408 units in May 2011. “We have set a decisive course in India growing our sales and ranking in the country and have already achieved the second position in the luxury car segment in first quarter. We have ambitious targets in the country not just in sales but also in our geographical coverage of the country,” said Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India. “Niraj’s credentials in the auto industry speak for themselves and I am confident that he will be instrumental in developing our sales network even further and strengthen our strategic team as we move closer to achieving our long term targets in the Indian luxury car market.”
Audi has been progressing in the country at a steady rate, growing 37 per cent in the period of January-May 2012, delivering 3,281 units compared to 2,394 vehicles for the same phase in 2011.
