Audi ends its half-yearly sales at 4,000 units

Sales in June 2012 touched 718 vehicles with the Audi Q3 being the key sales driver with 500 bookings in just 5 days; bookings for additional 500 cars are now open

With its compact proportions, unique styling and more importantly as the cheapest Audi branded vehicle that to an SUV now on sale in India, the Q3 quite simply has set the tone for a great year ahead for the German luxury car maker, which is already celebrating a great first half of its luxury car business having amassed sales of over 4,000 units.

Growth in the month of June alone was quite significant with 718 cars sold, translating to a 76 percent power up compared to the same month last year. 

Commenting on this massive leap forward Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India, said “With the help of our robust consumer propositions, we are also confident of further boosting our sales despite the economic challenges like high fuel prices, inflation, reduction in retail loans and rupee devaluation.”

Speaking categorically about the positive response to the recently launched Q3 Perschke stated that Audi has opened the next round of bookings for 500 units of its competitively priced baby SUV and expects the same enthusiasm from customers as before.

After clinching the No. 2 spot in March 2012 Audi India is now implementing its strategy to achieve their goal of becoming the No.1 luxury brand in India latest by 2015.
