Soon after driving in the all-electric e-tron SUV, Audi India has launched its second electric car, the e-tron GT. Priced from Rs 1.80 crore, the all-electric grand tourer is offered in two variants: standard and the sportier RS, making it the first all-electric RS-badged car to ply on Indian roads.
Take a look at the detailed variant-wise prices:
Variants |
Ex-showroom Price |
Standard |
Rs 1.80 crore |
RS |
Rs 2.05 crore |
The e-tron GT is the first low-slung electric offering in India. In fact, the grand tourer shares plenty with the Porsche Taycan, which is due for a 2022 launch. The proof of the pudding is the side profile, where both models look almost identical, save for the different set of alloy wheels.
That said, Audi’s designers deserve a pat on the back for differentiating the e-tron from the Taycan. A typical Audi single-piece grille sits up front, flanked by Laser LED headlamps with X-shaped DRLs. Even the rear -- featuring connected LED tail lamps -- is typical Audi. The RS variant further spices things up with a sportier-looking bumper, larger alloy wheels, and RS-badged brake callipers.
The e-tron GT’s cabin is lavish and will pamper you to no end. The dashboard gets plenty of sharp cuts and creases, with the ambient lighting uplifting the overall experience. Unlike Audi’s high-end ICE offerings, the e-tron GT gets knobs for climate control, which are easier to use on the move.
Other notable features include a digital driver’s display, a 10.1-inch MMI infotainment system, a panoramic glass roof, a Bang and Olufsen sound system, powered front seats with massage and ventilation functions, a wireless phone charger, and three-zone climate control. Passenger safety is taken care of by multiple airbags, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control.
Both the e-tron GT’s variants drive all four wheels via dual motors (with varying power outputs) powered by a 93.4kWh battery pack. Take a look at the detailed specifications below:

All e-tron GT customers will get a 11kWh home charger. Also, the e-tron GT’s battery pack gets fast charging up to 270kW with a 0-80 percent time of just 23 minutes!
The EV sits low and gets a flat floor, resulting in a centre of gravity lower than the R8 supercar. Please exercise caution while tackling our speed breakers even with the air suspension lifted up.
The all-electric luxury sedan doesn’t have any direct rival in India, but it will soon compete with the upcoming Porache Taycan and Mercedes-Benz EQS.
