The German and Dutch GP, currently scheduled to be held on June 21 and June 28, are likely to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic

It looks like the wait for the 2020 MotoGP season is set to extend as Germany and Netherlands have announced a ban on all large-scale events until the end of August due to the coronavirus pandemic. This means that the opening round at Sachsenring, scheduled for June 21, and the following round at Assen on June 28 are likely to be postponed, probably until August 31.

The German motorcycle Grand Prix and Dutch TT will join a growing list of races that have been postponed with no revised date decided yet. These include two rounds in Spain, France and the Italian Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, three other races have received revised dates. These include the Thailand Grand Prix (October 4), the Grand Prix Of The Americas (November 15) and the Argentine Grand Prix (November 22).

As things stand, the provisionally revised season opener is set to take place at the KymiRing in Finland on July 12 with a triple header to close off the season.
