Bajaj Introduces Matt Black Colour

The Dominar 400 was initially launched with three colour options: Midnight Blue, Twilight Plum and Moon White. It was the only entry level performance motorcycle from Bajaj that missed the black colour option. But the manufacturer has customers who are more inclined towards purchasing motorcycles in black colour. This might be the primary reason behind Bajaj introducing the Matt Black colour for the Dominar 400. Apart from the new colour scheme, the bike does not get any additional updates and the price also remains the same. Read our review on the Bajaj Dominar here.

The Dominar 400 is positioned as a power cruiser and is powered by a 373.3cc triple-spark, liquid-cooled engine which develops 35PS @ 8000rpm and a peak torque of 35Nm @ 6500rpm. The bike is nestled on a beam-type perimeter frame. Suspension duties are handled by 43mm forks at the front and multi-steel adjustable monoshock at the rear. The bike is equipped with 320mm disc at the front and 230mm disc at the rear. The bike is also offered with an optional twin-channel ABS. It is shod with 110/70 R17 tyres at the front and 150/60 R17 tyres at the rear.

The Dominar is priced at Rs 1.39 lakh for the non-ABS model and Rs 1.53 lakh for the ABS model (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike faces competition from the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 and Mahindra Mojo.
