After launching the Pulsar NS200 and the RS200 in new colours, Bajaj is gearing up to bring in the Pulsar 150 and the recently resurrected Pulsar 180 in new avatars. Though there is no official word on the new paint schemes, our sources say the new bikes have begun reaching dealerships.
Currently, the Bajaj Pulsar 180 is available only in a glossy black colour with red accents. Soon, the bike will be available in a glossy white colour along with the new red, blue and black paint schemes, all finished in matte. Unlike the current bike, all the new bikes get a dab of gloss black on the bodywork.
The glossy white and matte black colours come with red accents on the headlight, body panels, and a matching rim sticker. As for the blue and red options, these come with white accents along with a white rim sticker to match the body. Weirdly, these bikes have a faux carbon-fibre sticker running along the front fender. Bajaj has also opted to paint the exhaust heat shield in black to blend with the exhaust.
The Pulsar 180 BS6 is powered by a 178.6cc engine that makes 17PS and 14.52Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It gets a telescopic front fork and a 5-way adjustable gas-charged rear shock. Braking duties are handled by a 280mm disc up front and a 230mm rear disc, aided by single-channel ABS as standard.
Currently, the Bajaj Pulsar 180 is priced at Rs 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and the new colours are likely to be available at the same price. However, given how erratic Bajaj’s price hikes are, we wouldn’t be surprised if the prices go up with the introduction of these colours.
