Bajaj Auto has launched the new Pulsar NS 125 in Poland. The motorcycle’s design bears stark resemblance with that of the Pulsar LS 135, except for some subtle visual changes. In Poland, the bike is priced at 7999 PLR (approximately Rs 1.59 lakh).

Bajaj claims that the Pulsar NS 125 is the first motorcycle in its class in the Polish market to feature a 4-valve engine. The motor also features tech like maintenance-free fuel injection system, DTS-i and ExhausTEC. The 124.45cc single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC engine that comes paired with a 5-speed transmission, is good for 12PS at 8500rpm and 11Nm at 6000rpm.

Braking duties are handled by a 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum, which also feature CBS. Compared to the LS 135, the NS 125 gets a redesigned headlight cowl, NS 125 badging on the fuel tank, split seats, belly pan and split grab rails. The single downtube frame is suspended on telescopic front forks and twin Nitrox shock absorbers at the rear. Tipping the scale at just 126.5kg (kerb), the bike features a 10.5-litre fuel tank.

All said, the NS 125 is likely to come to the Indian market, in place of the now discontinued LS 135. And since it already has CBS, it will be compliant with the ABS/CBS mandate too. If Bajaj launches the motorcycle in India, we expect it to be priced around Rs 60,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and, rival the Honda CB Shine SP and Hero Glamour FI.
