Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer Benda Motorcycles has launched the LFC700 in China. It’s the production version of the LF-01 concept unveiled last year.
The LFC700 is available in two variants, standard and higher-power, with both variants using the same Euro 5-compliant 680cc inline-four liquid-cooled engine. On the standard, the motor is tuned to churn out 86PS and 60Nm whereas the higher-spec variant pumps out 94PS and 63Nm. Moreover, the higher power model also gets a slip-and-assist clutch.
The Benda LFC700 stays true to its cruising purpose and gets a 20-litre fuel tank. The top speed has been limited to a claimed 170kmph and 190kmph for the two models.
That being said, the production version does not get the cruise control and the ride-by-wire as shown on the concept. Apart from that, the bike has carried pretty much every feature the concept boasted. Right from the LED lights all around to the TFT screen and the overall stunning design.
Both the variants get different underpinnings as well. The base model is suspended on in-house built springs and uses Nissin radial calipers with dual front discs and a single rear unit. The premium variant uses a KYB fork and monoshock with Brembo brakes. Dual-channel ABS is standard on both models. Another astounding aspect of the LFC700 are the tyres. It rolls on a 190/70-19 front and a massive 310/35-18 rear tyre. The seat height is just 695mm while the bike weighs 235kg.
Pricing starts from CNY 48,500 (approximately Rs 5.27 lakh) for the Benda LFC700. The Chinese brand has no intentions to step into the Indian territory as of now. However, if you are looking for a motorcycle with a similar price tag, check out the Benelli TRK 502X.
