The fastest Bentley ever produced, the Continental Supersports, ran the legendary hill climb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year. We take a closer look and bring you an exclusive video of the scorching runs.

Last week, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed held at West Sussex, England, Bentley wooed spectators and the media by having its latest supercar, the Continental Supersports, run the famed hill climb at the event. The Bentley Continental Supersports holds the distinction of being the fastest and most powerful car ever produced in the 90-year old history of the renowned British luxury and sports car marque. The honour of driving this superfast car went to Le Mans legend Derek 'Bentley Boy' Bell who spent a few days evaluating the car and giving journalists at the Festival of Speed a run for their money up the 'hill'.

This muscular 2-seat coupe packs a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine under the hood which produces about 630 horses and 800 Nm of torque, which is capable of accelerating it from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds. And the top speed - a mind boggling 328km/h. Designed and built at Bentley's Crewe headquarters, the Continental Supersports combines extreme performance with the pioneering use of FlexFuel technology in the performance/luxury segment. As a culmination of efforts put in by the boffins at Bentley, the Continental Supersport's gigantic engine can run on either petrol or E85 biofuel or a combination of these.

Watch the video to see Bell push the Continental Supersports well over the 160km/h mark up the highly challenging Goodwood Hill which is renowned for its narrow road and succession of tight corners and bends. Derek Bell also gives his exclusive thoughts on this extreme Bentley and the searing runs it produced in the video.
