Goodbye Honda Mobilio

When Honda gave us the Mobilio to review, the top end V spec Mobilio featured an AVN system. But it had poor visibility during the day which wouldn’t have gone down well with buyers splurging around Rs 10 lakh on the car. And so Honda decided to drop this feature for the first batch of cars around the launch. But the AVN will make a comeback with better screen quality and visibility soon.
Honda wants the top spec trims – V and RS to have that premium feeling, which with the AVN does make a lot of difference, and so a better system is under works. The AVN unit besides doubling up as a display for the reversing camera, also comes with Bluetooth telephony. As of now, both the V and RS spec Mobilio get a 2-din audio system with USB and Aux-in connectivity which is same as the one in the Brio and Amaze.
Honda had also decided to drop the faux wood finish on the dashboard in the top trims. This faux wood though isn’t completely out. Although not part of the standard set of features, it can be ordered as an accessory for the dashboard and door armrest.
