Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), the wholly owned arm of Daimler AG, announced that sales for the BharatBenz trucks have surpassed the 20,000 unit sales milestone. The truck maker has achieved this new milestone in a span of two and a half years after it started the production of the first BharatBenz 2523C tipper heavy-duty truck. The company has registered a growth of 72 per cent in the first two months of 2015 as compared to same period last year.
Commenting on this achievement, Erich Nesselhauf, Managing Director and CEO, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), said, “This sales milestone of 20,000 BharatBenz trucks shows that even under difficult market conditions of the Indian Truck industry, we are fully on track. Our trucks are well perceived by the Indian customers and subsequent orders are evidence of the confidence our customers have in us.”
DICV has 81 dealerships across the country that covers 85 per cent of the Indian market. The BharatBenz dealerships have a 24x7 enabled workshop manned by technicians. The dealerships provide value-added services such as cashless zero-depreciation insurance, full maintenance contracts, extended warranty, 24x7 roadside assistance, vehicle tracking systems and on-site service.
