Under the hood, the X6 gets 2 engine options. For the petrol heads there is the xDrive50i twin turbo V8 which is the most powerful unit seen on a BMW X model. While for the those who also prefer economy, there is the X6 xDrive30d diesel variant as well. To take care of the handling responsibility, BMW for the first time has provided Dynamic Performance Control which gives the BMW X6 unique new cornering qualities. Seamless drive distribution to the left- and right-hand rear wheels improves track stability, allowing the driver to enter bends more precisely and cross-accelerate faster with optimized grip when accelerating out. On slippery or uneven surfaces, Dynamic Performance Control provides the further advantage of an even safer and more stable traction.
As expected, these cars are available in the country as Completely Built-up Units (CBU) and can be ordered across all BMW dealerships in India at ex-showroom cost of Rs. 82,90,000 for the petrol variant and Rs. 65,90,000 for the diesel.
Along with the launch of the new X6, BMW India has also announced the opening of Infinity Cars showroom in Worli, Mumbai. Covering almost 7000 sq ft of space and aiming to offer the customer with a unique retail environment, all operations related to sales will be efficiently covered from the space and will also ensure comfort to the customers at the point of sales.
