BMW Motorrad has announced it will unveil the Definition CE 04 electric scooter tomorrow, July 7, 2021. The concept was revealed last year and was spotted in the flesh a couple of months back. Thankfully, BMW has managed to stay true to the original concept for the most part.
The LED lights, slim skateboard-like chassis, and the lean rear section with a floating bench seat have all been retained. There are minor revisions, of course, such as turn indicators and a pair of mirrors which are mandatory as per road regulations. Other additions include a full-size rear fender that holds the licence plate. The rear wheel cover that was seen on the concept version remains intact.
The massive 10.25-inch screen that dominates the rider’s cockpit has also been carried forward to the production version. It’s smartphone compatible so users can access a ton of information about the scooter via BMW’s dedicated app.

The battery pack sits inside the floorboard for a better centre of gravity. As for the motor, it's situated near the rear wheel for a conventional look. The side-opening storage compartment remains unchanged as well.
As for the scooter's hardware, it gets a telescopic fork, an offset monoshock, and a single disc at both ends.
Unfortunately, BMW hasn’t revealed the specs of the CE 04, so there aren’t any numbers to swear by. Guess we’ll just have to wait until tomorrow for the full reveal. So stay tuned to ZigWheels.
