BMW has launched the Individual 740Li M Sport Edition in India, priced at Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom). Compared to the regular M Sport variant (Rs 1.41 crore), the Individual edition is around Rs 2.50 lakh more expensive. You can also become a member of the BMW Excellence Club, which curates luxury experiences from around the world.
The luxury sedan gets a 3.0-litre turbo petrol engine (making 340PS and 450Nm), paired with an 8-speed automatic that drives the rear wheels. It can do the 0 to 100kmph sprint in just 5.6 seconds.
The Individual 740Li M Sport Edition is available in two paint schemes: Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey. Also, BMW is offering the choice between two premium 20-inch alloy wheel designs.
The new fine-wood trim and Alcantara headliner (in Ivory White or Canberra Beige) lend that dash of opulence to the cabin. You can even tailor the interior to your taste. For instance, you have the option of customisable embroidery on the Alcantara headrest and backrest cushions. You can also opt for high-quality Nappa leather for the cabin.
The regular feature list of the 7 Series is long in itself. There is air suspension to cushion your ride, a panoramic glass roof (which BMW calls the Sky Lounge), a four-zone climate control, two 10.2-inch full-HD displays for the rear passengers, a 7-inch tablet to access all the controls, and a Harmon Kardon Surround Sound system.
Passenger safety is taken care of by BMW Driving Assistant, which includes automated driving features like lane departure warning, rear collision alerts, and cross-traffic warning. There is even a reversing assistant, which keeps track of the last 50 metres and can help navigate tight spaces. Apart from these, there are the usual features like traction control, ESP, six airbags, and ISOFIX mounting points.
The BMW Individual 740 Li M Sport will be available in limited numbers, although we don’t know the specifics. The 7 Series competes with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Audi A8L.
