The BMW R18 is among the most stunning motorcycles to be launched in 2020. The manner in which BMW designers were able to capture the styling DNA of the legendary BMW R5 and give it a modern twist is sheer brilliance. However, if you felt there was still room for improvement and wanted something that's even more retro, US-based NMoto Design have you covered.
All you need to do is buy a BMW R nineT first. The custom bike builders have created a bolt-on kit that will transform the roadster completely. The new kit is based on the stunning NMoto Nostalgia that was unveiled in 2018. The Nostalgia paid homage to the achingly beautiful BMW R7 and it remains one of the best custom BMW bike builds in our opinion.
While the Nostalgia came with a hefty price tag of $49,500 (Rs 36.50 lakh), the new bolt-on kit for the BMW R nineT is $6,950 (Rs 5.12 lakh). NMoto Design claims that the custom kit is a direct fit and owners will not have to drill or modify any component on the motorcycle. Sales for the new kit will commence in October 2020 and it will be also available as an accessory at select BMW Motorrad dealerships in Europe.
The BMW R nineT in our opinion is among the most unique motorcycles on sale currently and the Nostalgia kit takes its visual appeal to an all new league. The BMW R nineT is powered by a 1,170cc boxer engine producing 110PS and 116Nm of peak torque (BS4 engine). The BMW roadster is currently not on sale in India as it doesn’t comply with the BS6 emission norms. However, we expect the roadster to make a comeback in 2021.
