BMW India is all set to introduce its flagship M-Powered SUVs in India. The two cars to be launched soon will be the BMW X5M and the BMW X6M. Both the cars will have a price tag of over Rs 1.5 crore and will be sold in very limited numbers in India. The BMW X-M range will go up against the likes of the Range rover Sport and the Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG.
For the X5M, BMW has added a whole host of exterior upgrades that clearly differentiates the car from its regular cousin. The upgrades will include a set of aggressive bumpers with much larger air intakes for the engine, a sportier side skirting and of course a sportier rear bumper with the typically M-Powered quad exhaust pipe setup. The new X5M will also sport huge 20-inch or larger wheels which will also be exclusive only to the M models.
The X6M on the other hand will also have more aggressive styling as compared to the new 2015 variant that has just been launched in India. The X6M will also include a sportier set of bumpers along with a quad exhaust setup and huge wheels. Mechanical upgrades on both cars will include special M-sport suspension combined with a set of M-sport brakes.
The new M TwinPower Turbo engine for the BMW X5M and BMW X6M is the most powerful unit ever developed by BMW for an all-wheel-drive vehicle. With technology like BMW M’s TwinPower Turbo technology combined with a direct injection setup and cross bank free flowing exhaust manifolds, the 4.4-litre V8 produces maximum output of 575PS of peak power and a shattering 750Nm of peak torque. Expect prices to be north of the Rs 1.5 Crore mark and to be available in very limited numbers in India.
