[Update: Royal Enfield has launched the Meteor 350 in India. For pricing and other information from the launch, head here]
Nine months have passed since the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 was first slated to launch. In that time, Honda has launched its H’ness CB350 and Benelli has rolled out the Imperiale 400 BS6. But now, RE has FINALLY fixed a launch date for the Meteor. The new bike will arrive in just over two weeks from now, on 6 November.
So, what can we expect? Well, the Meteor will debut RE’s eagerly anticipated J platform engine that has been in the works for years now. Modern construction should mean that the vibration issues have finally been fixed. There are other ways in which the Meteor will be modern too. LED lighting and Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation, to name a few.
All in all, the latest RE is quite an exciting proposition indeed, and we can’t wait to officially lay eyes on it. For those of you that have been delaying your new bike purchase for this launch, we expect a price tag around the Rs 1.90 lakh mark (ex-showroom). Stay tuned!
