Pre-bookings are underway.
Deliveries have also begun in a few states.
The scooter gets a maxi-scooter design, similar to its bigger sibling: the SXR 160.
Just 10 days after the opening of pre-bookings, we have got our hands on the price of Aprilia’s second maxi-scooter for India, the SXR 125. Our sources have revealed it will be priced at Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), with its on-road price going up to Rs 1.31 lakh. Some dealerships even claim the scooter can be made available within just a week of booking.
Like the SXR 160, this one is also on the pricier side. At Rs 1.16 lakh, the SXR 125 costs a whopping Rs 38,000 more than the TVS NTorq Race Edition and about Rs 27,000 more than its arch-rival, the Suzuki Burgman Street.
To justify this price, Aprilia has packed the SXR 125 with a USB charging port, a digital instrument cluster, a tinted visor, and Y-shaped alloy wheels. The scooter will be offered in four colours: red, blue, black and white. All colours options come with Aprilia graphics.
The baby SXR will employ a single-cylinder air-cooled 124.45cc motor that makes 9.52PS and 9.2Nm. As for underpinnings, the scooter rides on a telescopic fork and a hydraulic shock absorber. Braking duties are handled by a single disc at the front and a drum brake at the rear.
