The Jazz BS6 is expected to utilise the existing engine options with upgrades to meet BS6 emission norms. Currently, the 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 90PS and 110Nm while the 1.5-litre diesel engine puts out 100PS and 200Nm. Just like the BS4 model, the petrol engine will be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission and CVT while the diesel model will utilise a 6-speed manual.

Locking horns with the Jazz are the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Toyota Glanza, and the Tata Altroz. Currently, the Jazz is sold from Rs 7.45 lakh to Rs 9.41 lakh. The BS6 upgrade is expected to have the Jazz witness an added premium to its prices.
