As seen in the table above, the CNG variants are dearer by Rs 81,000 compared to their petrol counterparts. These are the only variants that get CNG. The base-spec LXI and the top-spec ZXI variant are limited to petrol only.

The Celerio CNG continues to be powered by Maruti’s 1.0-litre unit that has been upgraded to meet BS6 emission standards. In pure petrol-only mode, the motor develops 68PS and 90Nm while in CNG mode it puts out  59PS and 78Nm. Transmission option for the Celerio CNG variant is limited to a 5-speed manual. The BS6 Celerio CNG is capable of returning 30.47km/kg, 1.29km/kg lesser than before.

In terms of features, the Celerio CNG misses out on a few of the top-spec model’s goodies such as keyless entry, a tachometer, and even an infotainment system. However, it still comes with a manual air conditioner, central locking system, as well as front and rear power windows. On the safety front, it comes with a driver’s side airbag, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors. The VXI (O) variant also comes with a passenger’s side airbag.
