The BS6 Toyota Fortuner retains its 2.8-litre diesel and 2.7-litre petrol motors, albeit with a BS6 upgrade. Performance figures remain unchanged with the 2.8-litre diesel delivering 177PS and 420Nm in the 6-speed manual trim and 450Nm in the 6-speed automatic. The 2.7-litre petrol mill continues to make 165PS and 245Nm, paired with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. Both engines are paired with a rear-wheel-drive train, with the diesel variants getting an all-wheel drivetrain as an option.

Aside from the BS6 update, the Fortuner remains unchanged when it comes to the equipment on offer. Notable highlights include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather upholstery, powered tailgate, powered front seats, seven airbags, and cruise control.
