Just last week, we brought you exclusive pictures of the BS6-compliant Vespa SXL 150. Now, we’ve gotten our hands on the price list of Vespa and Aprilia range of BS6 scooters. The two Italian manufacturers are expected to start delivering BS6-compliant scooters to its customers from April 2020. Here’s the full price list along with the difference in price compared to their BS4 counterparts:

SR 150 Carbon Edition | Rs 1,06,363 | Rs 86,921 | Rs 19,442 |
As you can see, the price difference between BS4 and BS6 versions of Vespa and Aprilia’s scooters is quite significant. This can be attributed to the addition of fuel injection in the BS6 scooters. Thanks to our sources, we know that the output figures of the 150cc scooters will remain unchanged. However, we’ll only get a clearer picture once we get our hands on the spec sheet.
The most expensive scooter in the list is the Vespa VXL 150 Elegante. With an ex-showroom (Pune) price of Rs 1.31 lakh, the on-road price of this scooter goes up to Rs 1.61 lakh! Granted, the baseline price of all scooters will go up once BS6 norms kick in. But with such stratospheric pricing, will Vespa maintain its desirability in a price-sensitive market like ours? Only time will tell.
