Skoda has revealed a camouflaged version of the next generation Skoda Superb that is set for a debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2015 after its global premiere in February in Prague. The Superb is in its third generation and promises to be better proportioned, a lot more luxurious and larger than its predecessor.
Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform that also underpins the new Passat, Skoda’s flagship will sport a new design language, will have new proportions, increased space, innovative technology, better driving dynamics and build quality according to the Czech carmaker. True to the Superb’s USP of providing value for its segment, it will have features from a segment higher. “The new Skoda Superb is the best Skoda ever. This latest generation of our flagship will appeal to new groups of customers in the business and private sector,” said Skoda CEO, Prof. Dr. HC Winfried Vahland.
Little can be said from the camouflaged pictures but it sure shows the much improved proportions. In side profile, the current generation Superb is a bit ungainly but the new Superb sports a smart stance. It looks typically understated with a strong waistline and gets a bit more angular headlamp unit. Further details should trickle in closer to its world premiere in mid-February.
