Jay Leno, an American TV host and a known car nut, famous for his former hosting job at ‘The Tonight Show’ was hospitalised after a car fire broke out in his garage. For the uninitiated, Jay Leno hosted ‘The Tonight Show’ for over a decade, after which he came to be known as an automotive icon with his ‘Jay Leno’s Garage’ channel on YouTube which started back in 2008.
The automotive celebrity was taken to a hospital immediately after the incident broke out. It was reported that he suffered burns to the left side of his face. He later released a statement saying that he suffered some serious burns from a gasoline fire and will need a week or two to get back on his feet. Although his exact condition is unknown, it is believed that he has suffered no serious injuries. The reason why the car burst into flames is still unclear.
Jay Leno has a huge car and bike collection, one which includes a range of exotic, vintage and expensive models. The triple-digit numbers for the cars and two-wheelers in his garage takes the collection’s total worth to north of 50 million US dollars. This includes a few McLarens (including the P1 and F1), Lamborghinis, Fords, Dodges and a whole host of classic and vintage cars that you wouldn’t have even heard of. A few known amongst the classic collection comprise Morgans, Corvette Stingrays and the Buick Roadmaster.
