Clews Competition Machines a.k.a. CCM Motorcycles has unveiled its latest limited edition scramblers, the Street Tracker and the Street Moto. The two models commemorate CCM’s 50 years in the business and will be launched at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, this year.
The Street Tracker and the Street Moto look identical, both sporting a rugged yet achingly beautiful design. Complementing it is a touch of modern features from LED illumination all around to digital instrumentation.
Both the models are powered by a 600cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor that belts out 55.7PS and 58Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. While the power figures aren’t ludicrous, the bikes are expected to tip the scales just 159kg wet, thereby offering a decent power to weight ratio.
The engine sits inside CCM’s trademarked tubular frame suspended on a USD fork and monoshock, both fully adjustable. Braking hardware comprises dual 320mm front discs with Brembo callipers and a 240mm rear disc for the Street Moto, whereas the Street Tracker uses a 320mm single disc with J Juan Black Edition calliper and a 240mm rear disc.
Other aspects where the two bikes vary are the wheel sizes and the tyres. The CCM Street Moto rolls on 17-inch laced wheels shod with Avon 3D Ultra Evo tyres while the Street Tracker uses 19-inch wheels wrapped in Maxxis road-legal flat-track tyres.
CCM offers both bikes in four colours: Yellow, Red/Grey, Grey and White/Green. Given that only 250 units are being built for each, the CCM scramblers don’t come cheap. Pricing starts from GBP 10,995 (approximately Rs 11.30 lakh).
The chances of either of the bikes heading to India are bleak. But if you are looking for a motorcycle in the same genre, check out the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled, Scrambler 800 or even the Scrambler 1100.
