We already know CFMoto is working on a fully faired version of the 300NK, the 300SR. The upcoming sportbike from the Chinese manufacturer will look similar to the 250SR, which was spotted a few months back. Now though, some important details about the new 300SR have surfaced online, giving us a clearer look at what CFMoto is working on behind closed doors.
According to reports, the new CFMoto 300SR will be powered by a 292cc engine making 29.4PS, similar to the Honda CB300R. Reports also reveal that the new 250SR is powered by a 249cc motor and will make 28PS, which is way too close to the power output of the 300SR. While the 300SR has a top speed of 137kmph, the 250SR will go up to 128kmph. CFMoto India has confirmed that it will bring the 300SR in India, but it isn’t planning to introduce the 250cc lineup in India anytime soon. It is also unconfirmed whether the India-spec 300SR will have the same power as the international variant or not.
In terms of underpinnings, we expect the upcoming 300SR to come with a USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking hardware consists of disc brakes on both ends with dual-channel ABS. We also believe the 300SR could get a new digital instrument cluster as the current unit seen on the 300NK is not exactly the sharpest out there.
Expect the new CFMoto 300SR to be priced between Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 2.8 lakh (ex-showroom). It will go up against the KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300, and the Benelli 302R.
