After entering the Indian two-wheeler market back in 2019, CFMoto had a year-long hiatus. Now, the brand is looking at making a comeback in the country. Going by the teaser on CFMoto India’s social media, the 650NK naked will be the first updated bike in the 650cc category to be launched by the brand.
For 2021, CFMoto will update the 650NK’s liquid-cooled 649.3cc parallel-twin motor to meet the BS6 emission norms. While the BS4 model made 61PS of power and 56Nm of torque, expect the updated bike to have more or less similar performance figures. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The 2021 CFMoto 650NK will not only carry the same design and features but also retain the underpinnings. Suspension duties will be handled by a conventional telescopic fork and a rear monoshock. The braking hardware comprises dual petal discs up front with J.Juan dual piston calipers and a single rear disc.
While most two-wheelers have witnessed a massive price hike with the BS6 transition, CFMoto is rather optimistic about keeping the prices close to the previous model, which retailed at a rather aggressive price point of Rs 3.99 lakh. Even if CFMoto does hike the price by around Rs 50,000 (maximum), the 650NK will still be the most affordable bike in its category.
It rivals the Kawasaki Z650, Triumph Trident 660, and the Honda CB650R.
