While the country might have forgotten CFMoto during its year-long slumber, it seems that the brand has been intending to make a strong comeback in the industry. In fact, CFMoto has plans to launch a new product every eight months. While 300NK has already been launched, the 650cc trio is likely to be launched soon. Perhaps the most exciting launch from the brand is expected to be its electric vehicles.
In December 2020, CFMoto launched its new sub-brand, Zeeho, which will spearhead electric mobility. Just like CFMoto, Kiska Designs will be designing the Zeeho e-scooters. The Cyber concept was the first product showcased under the new brand and our sources have confirmed that the production version of the e-scooter is likely to be launched in India.
Zeeho’s battery management system promises 2,500 cycles or eight years with up to 3 lakh km. The charging time is impressive as well, with 0 to 80 percent charge taking only half an hour.
As per CFMoto, the Indian market will get slightly different specifications than the international model. Even then, the new electric scooter will lock horns with our market’s current benchmark, the Ather 450X.
The Zeeho lineup will soon extend to e-bikes and electric motorcycles as well, which too shall come to India. CFMoto intends to keep all the products in one showroom, rather than having a separate showroom for the electric products.
So when will the new electric scooter grace our shores? CFMoto intends to launch the e-scooter in the Indian market by late 2021 after its global unveil, which should take place around June 2021. We expect the electric scooter to be accompanied by the brand’s highly-awaited supersport, the 300SR. Going by CFMoto’s pricing strategy so far, expect the e-scooter to be priced highly competitively.
