With the rise of rental and ride-share facilities like OLA, Uber and Zoomcar, carmakers like Honda and Mahindra have also joined the trend with their own subscription-based services. And now Citroen will also join the party with the roll-out of its own car leasing services called Citroen Lease ahead of the launch of the C5 Aircross SUV in 2020.
These services, in an exclusive partnership with ALD Automotive, a globally renowned automotive leasing and fleet management company, aim to boost Citroen’s strategy for the Indian market in 2020 alongside the C5 Aircross. Through these leasing services, Citroen will provide new-age mobility solutions for individuals, small and medium-sized businesses, corporate and public sector.
The C5 Aircross will be the first Citroen model to be launched in India via the CKD route. Post the C5 Aircross, Citroen plans to launch one model per year in the country. Spied testing in India on multiple occasions, the C5 Aircross will take on the likes of premium mid-size SUVs such as the Honda CR-V, MG Hector, Hyundai Tucson and the well established Jeep Compass in India.
