Isuzu Motors India has announced a price increase across its entire model range. The price hike will take effect from 1 January, 2019. The Japanese automaker currently sells only two models in India, the D-Max V-Cross and the mu-X.
The quantum of this price hike for Isuzu cars will be between 1-4 per cent, depending upon the model and variant you opt for. In rupee terms, this could signify a hike between Rs 15,000 to Rs one lakh. While the D-Max costs between Rs 14.82 lakh and Rs 16.31 lakh, the mu-X is priced between Rs 26.34 lakh to Rs 28.31 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
As to the reason for the price increase, Isuzu has pointed at rising input and distribution costs. Interestingly, this announcement comes in the backdrop of another price hike that the company announced back in September. However, it was only the D-Max range that received a price increase back then while the mu-X’s price was left untouched.
