Confederate Motorcycles renowned for their radical and futuristic looking bikes has launched its latest offering – the X132 Hellcat Speedster. What makes the Confederate X132 Hellcat Speedster even more special is the fact that it has been designed by Pierre Terblanche, who was the design director at Ducati and designed the likes of Ducati 999, Hypermotard, and Multistrada among the others. The styling of the X132 Hellcat Speedster is typical Confederate and one wouldn’t confuse the bike for anything else, whereas Terblanche focused his effort on adding subtle details to the motorcycle.
The Confederate X132 Hellcat Speedster is powered by the same 2,163cc, v-twin motor as seen on previous Hellcat offerings generating 122PS of maximum power and an astonishing peak torque figure of 190Nm. The bike employs a TIG-welded frame that is supported by WP sourced 48mm USD forks at front and a Race Tech coil-over-shock suspension setup at rear. The motorcycle sports a one-piece, seamless handmade fuel tank that is heat, chemical and impact resistant and employs a clear coat finish over the carbon fiber surface.
Other noticeable features on the Confederate X132 Hellcat Speedster include beefy 240mm section rear tyre, a unique solo-saddle design, Beringer sourced brakes and carbon fiber wheels from Blackstone Tek. Each of the Confederate X132 Hellcat will be hand built and to maintain exclusivity it will be limited to only 65 units. The Confederate X132 Hellcat Speedster has been priced at Rs 35.9 lakh in the US market with production scheduled to commence from September 2014 onwards. At this price, the X132 Hellcat Speedster isn’t really affordable but given the price at what other models under the Confederate portfolio cost, it sounds to be a bargain if you’re a millionaire.
