Due to the ongoing lockdown in certain states, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (MoRTH) has extended the validity of the CNG leakage certificate. So your eligible documents expiring between February 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, are now valid until June 30, 2021.
Also, as per a previous notice dated March 26, 2021, the latest deadline extension also applies to the following documents:
Driver’s and learner’s licence
Fitness permit (all types)
Registration certificate
This is the fifth time the government has granted an extension for the above certificates. Previously, the validity was extended till March 31, 2021.
Apart from the government of India, certain car manufacturers have also provided respite to customers by extending their vehicle’s free service and warranty periods that were about to expire between April and June.
The second wave of the deadly coronavirus has put our daily life on hold, with several states under strict lockdown to contain the spread. We suggest you stay home and stay safe until the situation improves.
