Datsun has launched a new special edition variant of the redi-GO and if looks are anything to go by, we are sure Bappi Da would be pleased. That's because the hatchback wears generous doses of gold embellishments inside out. Unsurprisingly, Datsun calls it the redi-GO...Gold. So what all does it really get?

On the exterior, the car gets gold-themed graphics on the hood, roof and doors, along with gold-coloured inserts on the front grill and wheel covers as well. It also gets front and rear bumper under covers with a chrome garnish on the tailgate and a painted rear spoiler. All the new additions make it look sportier.

Inside the car, the gold treatment continues. The car gets gold-coloured inserts on the central instrument cluster with a silver gear bezel. It also gets new black seat covers with golden highlights which add to the interior appeal of the car. The special edition variant gets a Bluetooth-enabled music system which was missing since long. Other features on board include the manual AC, app-controlled ambient lighting and rear parking sensors.

The car is available in White, Silver and Bronze Grey colour options and gets contrast-coloured spoilers. The White and Silver colour options get the Volcano Grey spoiler, while the Bronze Grey one gets a black spoiler. However, the redi-GO Gold is available only with the 1-litre petrol engine as it’s based on the T(o)-1.0L variant. The 1-litre motor produces 68PS of power and 91Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
