DSK-Benelli announced that a rider aboard its TNT 300 motorcycle successfully rode to Komic which is labelled as the highest motorable village in India. The feat on the Benelli TNT 300 was achieved by Indian rider Anirban Banerjee. It took 10 days for Anirban to complete this memorable motorcycle journey covering 1,600km. Anirban started the journey from Delhi on August 16th covering scenic locations across Himachal, including Shimla, Narkanda, Kaza, Manali and Kullu.
Commenting on Anirban’s feat, Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman, DSK Motowheels said, “I would like to congratulate Anirban for accomplishing this feat with flair and passion. We are all pleased that he chose the DSK Benelli TNT 300 to complete his Himalayan adventure. The path that he chose to ride on, called for a bike that can deliver flawless performance and sports the most unmatched build quality. The DSK Benelli TNT 300 is all this and more.”
Speaking on his ride, Anirban said, “I had one of the most thrilling experiences of my life in the past 10 days where I rode from Delhi to the beautiful village in Spiti. The goal behind this ride was to explore the uncharted territories of our beautiful country. Of course, this odyssey would have been impossible without my faithful companion, the DSK Benelli TNT 300. It held up its reputation for being one of the most reliable and refined superbikes in the world.”
The Benelli TNT 300 is powered by a 3oocc, parallel twin motor churning out 37PS at 11,500rpm and peak torque rating of 26.5Nm at 10,000rpm. It is also the most affordable Benelli motorcycle on sale in India with a sticker price of Rs 2.83 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi for the MRF tyre variant). Komic is the highest inhabited village in Asia, situated at 5,150 meters from sea level, in the Spiti Valley. The village has only 12 houses and a population of 150 people including some Buddhist monks. The village remains cut off from civilization for 5-6 months in a year due to heavy snow and virtually no roads.
